We are called the fairer sex, and after much thought, I'm not sure if it
is quite fair. To the men that is.
Look at what we are and all that we
can do. We have the privilege of carrying life. (My personal opinion,
the greatest of doing "God's work".) God also made us sensitive and
caring, yet gave us awesome strength to withstand some of life's
greatest storms. Often this is on our own and still we end up the same
people we once were. A little scarred perhaps, stronger definitely, but
still caring, nurturing, sensitive.
I am not saying men can't do this.
However, you have to admit women get the lion's share of it all.
We can indeed be anything we choose to be, display any personality and
still be acceptable.
Our careers are ours for the choosing. We can be Mom & Dad both and not
raise an eyebrow. Yes, I know many men who do an excellent job being
single parents, but not without some questioning unfairly from society.
We've come a long way in the way the world perceives and respects us.
We've worked hard for this. Yet we've still maintained that feminine
quality that causes men to lose their hearts.
We are inspiring, gentle, persistent, protective, faithful, curious,
intelligent, yet admit we could always learn a little something. Sounds
like a pretty good deal to me.
I am not an extreme feminist for "women's right". In that sense, I still
call it "human rights".
But God did make us the fairer sex for a reason, so if you want to
open the door for me, please, be my guest. Don't be surprised if I
insist on carrying home as many packages from a shopping trip. A lady I
am, yes, but I am fair and not lazy. If you really think I'm beautiful,
I won't be offended if you tell me so, but please don't be so crude as
to make crude remarks.
Sound confusing? Probably is, but that's okay, because I'm allowed to
be.
I'm a woman.
The fairest of them all.
The following are sites from some women I have met on the web. Some have become dear friends, others have merely passed through my internet life in one way or another. Each of them though are remarkable women with extraordinary sites.
First, I want to tell you about a unique group of women who have become as dear to me as any. Sisters of the heart and spirit, who have become a necessary part of my daily life. Whether we are just relating the days events; kids, work, spouses; laughing at each others' silly antics; or holding each other up through a rough time, they are my sisters and I love them. A group aptly named, "Women With a Unique Soul" . The following are some of their remarkable pages.
The talent on here by remarkable women does not stop with our group though. It is endless on the internet and the following women contribute much to my pages and my life.
