Hand in hand together we stand As we have since the news first came Though some are faces to us unknown We are friends and family just the same
Many tragedies have come made their way To our small West Virginia town But together we faced them hand in hand Letting nothing get us down
Never are we out of reach Even though life might take us far When in need, we can feel that hand Clasping ours wherever we are
Hand in hand together we pray As we listen for word of loved ones fate Outsiders predicting a dismal outcome But still together we wait
Our faith is as strong as our surrounding hills Our love as deep as our mines Hand in hand we face the dawn Not knowing what we will find.
Hand in hand together we grieve Leaning deeply on one another So many have lost someone near and dear A father, a friend, a brother
Hand in hand together we praise Though many hearts ache for twelve who died We as family together rejoice For the one who has survived
This world often has it's challenges That the average man couldn't stand But we have something the normal man doesn't We have each other....hand in hand.

Dedicated to wonderful strong family of people in Upshur county West Virginia. They face a long road ahead of them. 12 less sets of hands now grasp ours in the praise that Randal McCloy has survived this tragedy. We have 12 new holes in our lives whether it be family, friends, or neighbors. But we will tighten our circle and continue with God's help, to stand hand in hand.
